New Years Day ride - January 1

Anyone up for a ride on Wednesday? How about meeting at Granada at 8:30 AM, and do the Mummy Mountain loop counter-clockwise, and stop for a coffee and nosh at 32 Shea? 

Might be a bit warmer at 8:30. At least that's the theory. See you Wednesday! 

Final Ride of the Decade

This Sunday, our destination is Scramble at 7th St. and Mountain View. Looks like it's going to be a cold morning, but dry.

Is anyone interested in a New Years Day ride? Weather also looks to be dry then as well. Think about it, and Sunday let's discuss.

Also, keep in mind we need suggestions for January restaurants, ideas are always welcome.

December Schedule posted

Note that our start time is still 7:30- I know we casually discussed back in the summer about maybe changing to an 8 AM start, but we've not yet firmed that up. So let's start that conversation on Sunday and see if anyone is interested in that.

First up, it's The Henry on Camelback, and all you 3's should expect a Mummy Mountain route to get there.

Have a great Thanksgiving, and see you on Sunday to work off some of those potatoes and pies.

A message from our friend Gary

Gary asked me to post this...

It is with great sadness that Deb and I share the passing of our son, Andre, this past Saturday.  During a vacation trip to Australia, he was involved in a tragic incident that took his life. 

Arrangements are being made to have him transported back to the States.  Currently, we do not have information regarding a celebration of his life ceremony.  As these solidify, they will be shared.

On Saturday (11/23) and Sunday (11/24) afternoon, from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm, Deb and I will host an informal gathering in our front patio for all to share their moments with and about our love for Andre. 

A memorial area will be available.  Please park on the northside of Rockridge and on one side of any other street, to keep the streets passable. 

Please stop by as we also need your support and let us support you.  If you need our address, please PM/email us (or contact each other) and we will respond. 

Please do not post our address on Facebook. 

God bless and keep Andre!  We know he is smiling down upon us.

Sunday November 10 - Road to Nowhere

After conferring, conversing and otherwise hob-nobing with my fellow cyclists, it has been decreed that this Sunday we will meet for an abbreviated ride at the usual time of 7:30.

There is no destination, just a loop up and back down the Dreamy Draw, while we can still do it, pending the large three-year project being planned by the Phoenix Water Services department. The ride will be about 18 miles or so from Granada and back with no breakfast stop this week. Gives everyone time to get cleaned up for the brunch.

November 3 - Wildflower Bread Co.

November schedule is posted, and first up is Wildflower in Scottsdale on Indian Bend. I won't be there to lead this Sunday, so somebody else has to find a route there.

Note there is no destination on November 10. There may be a short ride with some of the 3's, but no breakfast stop. Show up this week and discuss plans for the 10th.

October 20 - Luci's at The Grove

This Sunday it's Luci's at The Grove, in North Scottsdale. Haven't been there, but I've been told it's great like the other Luci's. Remember, winter hours are now 7:30 start.

October 6 - The Henry - 7:30 AM Start

Here we are at our new digs- this is where the Granada destinations and news will be posted.

The old abc-granada.blogspot.com will be retired, but for now will remain in place to let people know we've moved.

This week, The Henry. Expect a voyage over Mummy Mountain.
